At Faye's funeral, I told her, "Don't get far from the door, I am coming soon."For months I was lost in a deep, dark hole of life. I begged God to let me come home. I had been a faithful servant. I had done everything He'd asked of me: over twenty-five years as a pastor and almost another so many years traveling as evangelists with Faye. God please let me come home.God began to remind me of Proverbs 8:22, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favor of the LORD." As I began to remember the wonderful years of our marriage, an entire life of joy, love, serving the Lord, and memories with family and dear friends, God said, "I want you to finish her book, The Faye Headrick Story." Faye knew she was to write a book of her life and testimony. She had made notes and we had a series of audio recordings to which we could refer for details.
