More DescriptionThe sea has always fascinated me . So also the lives of the Fishermen and their battle with theunpredictable. I consider THE FISHERMAN & HIS SON as one of my best stories. It turns me inward with its deep inner philosophy and the question it poses to everyone about Hope. He and his son sacrifice their own lives to save the life of a stranger who throws himself into the sea. FATE, about a jobless Brahmin and his struggle is set in a contemporary world .As the Fisherman, it is cast in the similar mould but in a different cultural milieu. THE HOLY KISS is about an American tourist lovers who fall in love with the temple architecture when in a philosophical mood and kiss each other on the temple premises and the community is enraged. THE INDIAN'S WIFE shows how a sensible woman is treated as dumb by her husband and the son. It poses questions too. MIRROR COPIES is about a Hindu girl married to a Muslim musician and a Hindu man married to a Muslim girl who meet on a train. They have challenges of their own but they support one another because they deeply sympathise with one another. It might interest you to know that I create cinematic images because I suppose I see them with the camera in my head.
