He also made great use of his considerable artistic talents, one of which was a poetic skill which he pressed into service for the composition of cantiques (hymns) to use during his missions. Song was so important to Fr. de Montfort both as a man as well as a preacher that he composed over 160 hymns. The full collection of his cantiques has not been available in English translation until now. Thanks to the study and labor of Fr. J. Patrick Gaffney, SMM, and his team of translators, this book, God Alone II, contains the entire collection of our Founder's cantiques, available in English for the first time.
