More DescriptionAfter Sol Turner, a United States Secret Service agent, rescues a teenage 'miracle worker' from a terrorist attack on a church in Montana, Turner, an atheist and cynical unbeliever, is assigned to protect the boy who millions now believe is the new Messiah. While the boy's 'miracles' are vetted by an International team of scientists and inter-denominational clerics, Turner and his team protect the boy from an assignation attempt until the boy finally garners the interest of an aging Pope who authenticates his miracles and declares, in the event of his death, that he wishes the boy to become the new Pope. The Cardinals are outraged but after the Pope's mysterious death, powerful political forces conspire to ensure the boy becomes the first teenage Pope since John XII in 932 A.D. When the boy ascends the throne, Turner realizes the new Pope is at the heart of the biggest conspiracy in the history of the Church and the global chaos that will ensue as a result of the boy's reign must be prevented at all costs lest the entire foundation of the world's religions be shattered by the truth that's revealed to Turner in the final pages.
