More DescriptionPhilosophy, in general, is a system of principles used to guide one's life. Chiropractic, in particular, is a vitalistic philosophy that has the potential to change lives. Philosophy provides a basis for the science and art of Chiropractic. When a Doctor of Chiropractic is observed checking an infant or child's spine for vertebral subluxation, there is a reason WHY they are doing so. Similarly, when a Chiropractor is only checking people in pain, or another is checking athletes proactively, there is a reason WHY. A philosophy of life explains why we all do the things we do. Candidates for the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers (ACP) are challenged to examine their own lives to see if the chiropractic mindset fits in their worldview and life. The Journal of the ACP represents the thinking and digesting of chiropractic, health and life topics that are part of the journey.
This volume contains articles on D.D. Palmer, the Founder of the Chiropractic profession, a discussion of the polemics of chiropractic practice, the frequency of chiropractic care in subluxation centered practices, and the impact of practice objectives on the future of the Chiropractic profession.
