This is the story of the Jarnefelt (Rauanheimo) family which owned and occupied the Kepola Manor on the western shore of the Lake Koylio in South-Western Finland. The area has a long history going back for several centuries. Earlier, the Kepola village and its lands belonged to the Koylio Manor, now called the Old Manor, which is one of the oldest estates in Finland. The estate was divided into two; one part became the Old Manor and the other the Kepola Manor.
