Hundreds died on the operating table until the Liege change specimens, and experimented on full-blood wolves instead. The humans who survived the surgeries were forever changed and eventually escaped the Continent. They arrived in the States after the Civil War and headed west to hide from the Liege and to survive.While working on a case, they met Ryan and Ryder, La Patron's grandsons, and learn the Liege Lords are dead and powerless to harm the mutated humans.
