This book is an ode to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, a beloved mountain lodge famous for serving up fine food and fare in New Hampshire's White Mountains. More DescriptionThis book is an ode to the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge, a beloved mountain lodge famous for serving up fine food and fare in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Over the past century, the Lodge has been owned, operated, and treasured by the Dartmouth College community as a home away from campus. What began as a simple horse barn in the early 1900s transformed into a log-cabin-style building in 1938 and then, in 2017, into a full-scribed, timber-framed building designed by one of the nation's leading green architects. The bunkhouses surrounding the main building have also been built and rebuilt over the decades, often by crews of Dartmouth College students, alumni, and local craftspeople--volunteers and professionals alike. With photos from both the 1938 and 2017 constructions of the Lodge, memories of bunkhouse building, and student and alumni artwork, this book traces the timeless story of the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge and the people who have cared for it over the past hundred years.
