Under the acacia tree by the waterfall they fell in love with the hope of a beautiful life together after the war. With the turn of event, Com. Barromeo was captured by the Japanese and during the rescue operation. Rosemarie was shot and killed. Rosemarie chose to stay on earth to watch and guide David during and after the war until David would find the woman he would love and marry. In David's dream Rosemarie told David "I am at peace with God. I am giving you the freedom to fall in love again".
