You are going through different stages of training with every passing day believe it or not. During a fast of 2020 the Lord opened my eyes to show me what he was doing to not only me but to every believer. Jesus is a master craftsman, and he is not done with us yet! The image of a broad severely scarred back, covered in sweat, as the smith raised his hammer and brought down a fierce blow onto the glowing metal sending sparks flying in all directions has stayed with me since January 2020. I sat in my church waiting for the service to start and I could see the smith clearly and almost smell the fire from the forge. The only light in the room was from the forge and glowing metal. The smith kept turning the metal over and over and examining it carefully and administering a blow where he saw he needed one. Throughout the fast this imagery continued and the Lord began to show me through Scripture exactly how he goes about shaping us and what we are being shaped for. We are weapons for a master swordsman. You have probably never been told that in your entire Christian life. Nevertheless it is true. The battle belongs to the Lord, he is the One who fights for us. We are merely the weapon in his hand. If you want to be a more effective weapon for Jesus or just learn where you are in the process then this book is for you.
