More DescriptionA Brief History of The Most Perfect Body in America ContestIn the summer of 1979 Bo Derek made a famous movie "10"...where she was featured as the Perfect 10 Girl. Irealized that I was a Perfect 10 in the Men's category and that I should write a book about it. So I wrote 2books..."How to Develop a Perfect Body", and "How to Develop a Perfect Waistline". I then decided to produce myfirst major nightclub contest. The Most Perfect Body in Texas and approached the biggest nightclub in Papagayos.I was going to conduct a search for The Most Perfect Body in Texas (the first year was girls only) and theyimmediately agreed and I proceeded to put the show together.I had a lot of experience in promotion and public speaking. I was extremely good looking and confidant. I was notafraid to talk to anyone one, and I how to make great presentations. I knew that the press and media were lookingfor any reason they could possibly use to have girls in bikinis on their show. All you had to do was give them areason to talk about the girl's bodies...and not make it look sexist. Which I provided because I said we werelooking for the Most Perfect Body and thus they could talk in great detail about the girl's bodies and while Iexplained what was 'perfect'. They loved it and we made the front page of the Dallas NewspapersThe next thing I did was go around to a lot of young men who owned business to give 'prizes' for the girls in theshow and be judges. Now I began recruiting the girls. I used my looks and personality to get the show movingfast. I began to look for the beautiful girls, and I never approached a 'stripper' or went to any topless clubs torecruit. They were the girls I wanted, and they would not have brought the crowd I wanted to the shows.I was fortunate when going to a bikini show at a local club to meet the one and only Kym Malin, who was in fact 17at the time, and was only allowed in the club for the show, but could not drink. When I first saw her, I knew I hadfound the Most Perfect Body in Texas and more importantly I knew I could make her famous and my showfamous! Kym won the first show and that started everything else rolling. She became a Playboy Playmate andmade several movies as well as being runner up for Playmate of the Year 1982.
