Because of the disobedience to the Laws of YAH. The Children of Israel were chosen to be a light unto the world and to obey the MOST HIGH's laws, statutes, and commandment. They refused to obey. They began to follow after other strange nations ways of life, as this was strictly forbidden also. The MOST HIGH separated a people for Himself to be the example of heaven's government in the earth. Yet, Israel turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to the very One that removed them out of the Egyptian bondage. This pierced the MOST HIGH to His heart. The only solution was to give Israel His righteous judgment that was warranted after centuries of "in Your face disobedience".
