Born March 21, 1962, in Bayside, Queens, New York, Rosie O'Donnell has enjoyed a successful career as a comedian, actress, and talk show host. She studied at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Boston University before moving to Los Angeles in 1984.
O'Donnell's first film role was in the 1992 hit "A League of Their Own." In 1995, she began hosting "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" on NBC. O'Donnell has since won a total of 11 Emmy awards, including several each for "Outstanding Talk Show" and "Outstanding Talk Show Host."
