More DescriptionM. W. Kohler was born in 1948, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the age of one, his parents moved him to Chicago, Illinois. Right after suffering through polio, they moved to the suburbs when he was around three. He grew up there and the streets of Chicago where he learned about the life around him and all the magic that it contains.
At the age of seventeen and at the advice of others, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy, getting into submarine service. On the extended missions he had the opportunity to let his imagination roam and think of what would be the value of fantasy.
He completed his tour of duty and went on to several different jobs, giving him a variety of lessons on many different subjects. As time passed, he came to develop a dependency to alcohol. It took some time, but he realized his problem and sought and found help. As part of his therapy, he turned to something he always wanted to do, writing! As part of his therapy, the book called The Valley was born, as were the others that are to follow.
Today, he is retired and lives quietly in a small town in the south west of Oregon.
