More DescriptionIt has been said that every story is born of experience. But fiction is not a duplication of life's events. Life's experiences strike a chord which reverberate, setting in motion new feelings and thoughts. Imagination takes over, transforming the original experience, giving it new meaning, shape, and form. Here then are three stories dealing with man's ambition, challenging fate and providence to preserve the divine spark during his brief existence. Only the first story is obliquely autobiographical; it highlights the passages of life to overcome obstacles and to capture the epiphany bestowed by art and science. The second story describes the response and challenges by assault to health and wealth, tolerance in humanity. It tests man's ability to answer these challenges by adhering to the voice of his faith. The book of Job forms the mold of this tale as Satan challenges the Lord over the ages. The third story tells of the search for an unattainable goal, the encounter with a unicorn by a searcher for final truth and beauty. The unicorn is the symbol of an endless search for fulfillment, for a goal which, as it comes in grasp, recedes into the distance never to be attained.
