"WINTER IS NOT A SEASON. IT'S A CURSE"
Ellie Campbell lost everything in the Pandemic, including her 3-year-old son and her job.
She packs up everything she owns and puts it into storage the day she is evicted from her small house, hits the road in her ancient 2007 Toyota Sienna, and travels up the coast to the home of her only living relative, her Uncle Aaron.
She hadn't communicated with him since before the Pandemic started, but he was her mother's only brother, and she believes that he still resides in her Grandparent's massive turn of the century home near the Green Mountains.
She is hoping she can stay there until she gets on her feet. She's willing to help out her longtime bachelor Uncle in exchange for room and board. He's an author, and she is an aspiring one, so she is determined to pick his brain.
A chance meeting with her Uncle's hired Handyman, Liam Ames, in town piques both her interest in the lore of Winter House and ushers in long-buried romantic feelings.
Once she arrives, she will need all the help she can get if she ever hopes to LEAVE!
