This work seeks to synthesize the results of some half a decade of interpretive labor on the texts of Dr. Leo Strauss and Dr. Eric Voegelin. It is a continuation of the ongoing scholarship in this field. This work seeks to synthesize the results of some half a decade of interpretive labor on the texts of Dr. Leo Strauss and Dr. Eric Voegelin. It is a continuation of the ongoing scholarship in this field. In it, I seek to show that both Strauss and Voegelin were tenacious defenders of faith and reason, and that both were unsatisfied with the manner in which Postmodernity degenerated into an apparent scepticism and dogmatisim which obscured the roots of the tradition. But those roots cannot help but come to sight in the rich, provacative work of these thinkers.
