More Description "Isle of Man TT races are a spectacle unique and like any other in the world of motorbiking, but the excitement bought about by the event carries with it the constant risk of injury or instant death, a racing course, so dangerous it defies sense and logic. The Mountain course, the series of roads where the race has been run since 1911, it has not changed much since the race began, and riders still must negotiate the course's 263 turns not on a manicured racetrack, but on streets lined by rock and stone walls". "What has changed, however, is the speed at which the course is run: the top speed at the first TT was a little over 41 mph, and this year, riders in the top classes we will reach over 200-mph. That means that a course that was already lethal to begin, becomes more lethal each year, Motorcycle's and men on those machines are faster. Many men have lost their lives on this course since 1911.
