Sandra Scofield's first novel, "Gringa," was nominated for the First Fiction Award given by the American Academy & Institute of Arts & Letters & was selected by the NEA/USIA for a 1990 New American Writing Award. Her second novel, "Beyond Deserving," was underwritten by a Creative Writing Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts, was hailed by critics around the country, & was a finalist for the 1991 National Book Awards. Sandra lives, & works, in southern Oregon.
