Catherine McClure Gildiner was born in Niagara Falls, New York & grew up in the small border town of Lewiston, New York, the setting for her novel "Too Close to the Falls." She has both a B.A. & an M.A. in English literature & an M.A. & a Ph.D. in psychology. She lives in downtown Toronto with her husband & three sons.
