Jean-Pierre Alaux is a magazine, radio and television journalist. He writes The Winemaker Detective Series with Noël Balen. Some of the books in the series include Treachery in Bordeaux, Grand Cru Heist, Nightmare in Burgundy, and Deadly Tasting. He won the Antonin Carême prize for his cookbook La Truffe sur le Soufflé, which he wrote with the chef Alexis Pélissou.
