This edition contains a synopsis of the text in two languages from the first printing in 1616 as well as a new translation, a detailed introduction and an appendix containing mainly documents concerning the various complete or partial performances during Andreae's lifetime as well as the performance in Frankfurt/M in 1925, which was in accordance with a translation by W. Suss (1907), the latest translation at that time. German description: Turbo, unter Pseudonym in Strassburg gedruckt, ist das einzige erhaltene Drama unter den lateinischen Werken Andreaes. Turbo, der unruhige Geist, getrieben von curiositas und opinio wirbelt durch die gelehrten Disziplinen und kulturellen Spharen des spathumanistischen Europa auf der vergeblichen Suche nach der Burg der Weisheit und der Wahrheit, die er am Ende nicht in Institutionen, sondern als Christenmensch im eigenen Herzen findet. Die Ausgabe enthalt eine zweisprachige Textsynopse des ersten Drucks von 1616 und einer neuen Ubersetzung, eine ausfuhrliche Einleitung sowie einen Anhang vor allem mit Dokumenten zu den verschiedenen (Teil-)Auffuhrungen zu Andreaes Lebzeiten sowie noch 1925 in Frankfurt/M. nach der damals aktuellen Ubersetzung von W. Suss (1907).
