Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Car

Mary Kathleen "Kate" Dopirak was born on October 3, 1975. She received a B.A. in English in 1998 from Allegheny College and a M.S. in education and reading specialist certification in 2000 from Duquesne University. Before becoming a full-time mother and children's book author, she taught elementary school from 1998 until 2005. Some of her early work appeared in Highlights, Parents, and Scholastic Magazine. Her first picture book, You're My Boo, was published in 2016. Her other books included Snuggle Bunny; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Car; and Hurry Up! She died of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease on October 10, 2018 at the age of 43.
