When duty calls, Drusilla is sent to the location of a headless person. Shocked by this gruesome death, she also discovers that her sister Katrina has mysteriously gone missing. Could all this be related? Ichabod Crane is back in Sleepy Hollow for the first time after his parents' death. Ten years later, he is a Professor of Folklore Studies and a part-time monster hunter. Intrigued by this series of headless murders, he is determined to find the supernatural culprit behind this. When he hears that a new victim has been found, he breaks into the coroner's office to review the records, only to see the headless horseman attack Drusilla. The coroner uses strange powers to repel the horseman, powers that she doesn't even believe in herself. When the horseman kills someone else instead of Drusilla, she realizes she has to stop him at any cost. Even if that means working with Ichabod, a man she feels an inexplicable attraction to, and considering the possibility that magic might really exist?
