More DescriptionThis book is part one of two parts and is the second of a series. It continues the story of the main protagonist Suzie Gray who was first introduced in A Change of Heart. Eight years after leaving the religious cult The Believers Suzie embarks on a once in a lifetime adventure to travel around the world. Her mission is to cover twenty-seven countries in six of the seven continents of the world. This is her first time travelling alone. She starts off in Egypt where she rides a camel to the Pyramids and scuba dives in the Red Sea. She befriends Carly who on a night out vanishes without a trace. She leaves for South Africa on the premise that the Egyptian National Police keep in touch. She goes on safari to Kruger National Park and gets up close and personal to four of the big five animals in the world. She visits the township in Johannesburg to see where the poverty stricken live. She befriends Sahid in Bangkok and experiences her first ever ladyboy show. She rides an elephant and watches a cobra wrap itself around a Thai´s neck. She meets her diving buddy Tom in Australia who has a tragic accident. Ray O´Hara, her old college sweetheart, gets in touch out of the blue.
Part One ends with her leaving Sydney for Christ Church to begin the second leg of her journey.
