Description
Artistic nude photography has generally slipped into a dark, cold and gloomy view of the human figure. It seems that it is not possible to portray the beauty of the body without wrapping it in shadows, with the model shrunken, looking to the side and almost ashamed of being photographed.
In response to this trend, photographer Tato Morales began years ago an experiment with different lighting setups, in search of a warmer image of the artistic nude. A vision in which, without renouncing the plasticity of the figurative image, there would be more light, more warmth and more pride in the final work.
The result is this 130 pages book, in which you will be able to contemplate six different models in several sessions, where images are captured far away from that dark view.
Where you would usually find only a mass of darkness around a few lines of the model's edges, here you will find images full of light, warmth and beauty, in which every detail of human beauty can be admired.
With more than 30 years of professional experience, Tato Morales is a photographer and makeup artist, specialized in body painting, whose work is characterized by brilliant lighting and collaboration with the model, without those retouches that, unfortunately, are so popular today and make the woman a plastic doll without expressiveness or personality, clones of an ideal of artificial beauty that takes us away from the true human one.
