"Practicing? You have never done this before?" Gromber laughed. "We are going to die."
Kalico frowned at the door, "No we aren't."
"Ye think that ye are going to crack that door. Boy, that is a dwarven vault, master safe cracker has tried and never did it," Gromber shook his head and smoothed his beard.
Kalico sighed and looked at him, "And that is a big one." Kalico swallowed.
"Well get to it boy," Gromber smiled.
Kalico rubbed his hands together, "I can do this." He put the torch on the ground and looked over the door.
Gromber went down the hall several feet. Kalico frowned at him, "Where are you going?"
"You are gonna blow ye-self up boy," Gromber laughed.
"Thank you for the confidence," Kalico shook his head.
"Welcome," Gromber laughed and his figure went past the torchlight.
Kalico found several traps and realized that he could not bypass all of them. He swallowed hard and looked at the knob. He put his ear on the stone and moved the knob. He heard a clicking sound. His eye blazed green and he slowly turned the knob.
"Ye dead yet boy?" Gromber voice echoed down the hall.
Kalico froze and sweat beaded up on his forehead, "Shh, I need quiet."
