Hakim Umar Khayyam Nishabouri who is second to Hakim Abu-al Qasim Firdausi - the greatest epic poet of Iran and the world as well for his unique work "Shahnameh" - which is known by title of "Hakim", that means one know Hekmat / Philosophy, among other subjects. He was born in 1047-48 A. D., corresponding to 427 A. H., Solar Calendar, and passed away in 1123 A.D. / 502 A.H.S.C.,. However, we use these dates with some reservations. He was called Umar Khayyam, Khwaja Imam Hojjat-ul Haq Hakim Abu al-Fath (or Abu Hafs), Umar bin Ibrahim al-Khayyami (or al-Khayyam) Nishabouri.
