Although Dianne Lange initially trained as a nurse, she has been putting her medical background to work writing about health issues as a medical journalist and a magazine columnist and editor. She is also an editor of and contributor to Informed Decisions: The Complete Book of Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and Recovery. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society, Informed Decisions was developed to provide all of the information that cancer patients and their families will need as they are faced with choices about their care at each stage of their illness.

Lange is a contributing editor to Allure magazine, and the author of Allure's regular column, "Body News." She has also been the editor-in chief of Health magazine and a health editor for Self and Mirabella magazines. She lives in Santa Monica, Calif.
