Each script contains about a dozen main characters and there are suggestions for set pieces, music, dance etc to allow the purchaser the chance to use as many people as they want! There are no performance fees and the script can be adapted within reason to bring in any local names or people if required. Enjoy! The show opens with a grand procession of people carrying banners. They herald the arrival of SHAHRAZADE, the teller of tales, accompanied by KARI OKI. Once all are assembled the story begins. She describes two life styles - that of Kewfora Baba, the rich yet mean trader, and the contrasting story of Ali Baba who is poor yet honest.Once characters have been introduced, the first SET PIECE is performed - the PERSIAN PALACE - guards, entertainers, servants etc all entertain the Sultan and his family. It ends with the realisation that the crown jewels have been stolen!Ali Baba is in the woods, gathering kindling when he hears people approaching at speed. He hides as the ROBBERS enter. They approach the cave mouth and with the famous "Open Sesame" password they enter the cave and hide their stolen treasures. Ali watches all this and, after they have gone, he too enters the cave.SET PIECE - inside the cave. Jewels, Money -money - money, cave creatures etc.Ali Baba takes some gold and meets his family who are looking for him. His brother (really El Scorpio) hears about the discovery of the treasure and he (plus his wife and Ali's wife) visits the cave where the ladies and Ali Baba are captured locked inside the cave. The scene moves from cave to village. SET PIECE - the market; full of robbers, traders and the "Keystone cops"From this point, we meet Professor Jones etc as a rescue mission is mounted. There is the belief that this is the adventurer Indiana Jones. He is not! This is Ian "Diana" Jones. We return to the palace where everything should come to a happy ending. SET PIECE - the 40 thieves, hidden in pots, belly dancers!Shahrazade completes her story telling and the audience pay to leave.
