English summary: This study of Nizami's (d. 1209) Makhzan ul-asrar ("Treasure of mysteries") deals with problems of the work's history and reception, and analyses the formal setting of the poem as well as its stylistic elements, in particular its rich and difficult imagery. The examination further concentrates on the alternately reflective, homiletic, and narrative textual structure of Makhzan ul-asrar, on Nizami's virtuoso technique of forming chains of associations, and on the didactic main topics of the work. Finally, the study gives a translation with commentary of the twenty parables, included by Nizami in his first Mathnawi. German description: Gegenstand dieser Untersuchung ist Nizamis (gest. 1209) Makhzan ul-asrar ("Die Schatzkammer der Geheimnisse"). Die Studie behandelt Fragen der Werkgeschichte und Rezeption und analysiert anhand von Beispielen den formalen Aufbau dieser Dichtung Nizamis sowie ihre rhetorisch-poetischen Stilelemente, namentlich die reiche und schwierige Metaphorik. Weitere Schwerpunkte der Untersuchung sind die wechselweise reflektierende, homiletische und narrative Textstruktur, Nizamis virtuose Assoziationstechnik und die didaktischen Hauptthemen von Makhzan ul-asrar.
