More DescriptionThe study of quality of life and its components has captured the minds of people across time, culture and place. This has engaged people across disciplines for centuries. It is the ultimate goal of society to improve the lives and well-being of every citizen. In fact many adults go for this purpose of adding value and increasing their quality of life. Quality of life is defined as "an individual's perception of his/her position in life in the context of culture and value systems in which he/she lives, and in relation to his/her goals, expectations, standards and concerns" (World Health Organization Group, 1993). If asked however one can define quality of life differently depending one's own views. While the world is moving very fast, many adults are left behind. Some of them do not find any more meaning of going to school especially after their 40s. This book makes one remain younger for ever. Instructors and those dealing with Adults' banking, SACCOS, education, Fitness, feeding, home for the eged, Asian culture, Philippine Literature, NGOs from developed world working in and aboard, big institutions giving aid, ALS, 'Tanzanian Elimu ya Watu Wazima' (Adult Literacy) and industrious education. All find a page to learn from this book. Adults learn for different reasons; when asked they give different answers differing from one status to another. In some places adults learn after being promised to receive incentives. In many places incentives serve as motivators for the adult learners to join programs. One needs to know needs of a particular society and immediate needs. The point to notice here is the individual need according to a particular place. Livelihood support also is part of the Adult Literacy Program. Indeed this is what makes an immediate change in the lives of the learners. In many poor communities struggling to meet their daily needs, livelihood becomes one of the biggest motivations. How can one measure if a certain program to be very effective, effective, less effective and not effective? All these are found in this book. Is there any country which has given all its citizens equal opportunity to school from primary school to the highest degree 100%? Most probably the answer is big NO! so where are they going to if they do not finish neither a diploma nor a degree? Is there a way out to help them? How can one live longer without medicine?
