Author Biography
Partridge, Elise (Author)
Elise Partridge was born in 1958 and raised near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was educated at Harvard University, Cambridge University, Boston University, and the University of British Columbia. She moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1992. Her first collection of poetry, Fielder's Choice, was published in 2002. Her other collections of poetry include Chameleon Hours, which won the Canadian Authors Association Poetry Award, and The Exiles' Gallery. Her poems have appeared in several publications including The New Yorker, Slate, The Walrus, Poetry, and The New Republic. She died from cancer on January 31, 2015 at the age of 57.
